Changes

I did not write a transits article for this current Lunar Cycle, and I will likely not be writing one for the upcoming one. I am going through many changes in my life which are making it difficult for me to keep up with regular blog articles.

One of the changes is that I have been seriously studying Jyotish, which is also known as Indian or Vedic Astrology. Last Autumn, I received my Certificate in the Fundamentals of Vedic Astrology from Kepler College, and I have taken two more classes there since that time. I am still a long way off from being able to practice Jyotish professionally, but the more I study it, the more I feel like it may be my path.

Unlike Western Astrology, Jyotish has been passed down directly from guru to student for at least a couple of thousands of years. It is also expected that a Jyotisha follow a spiritual path and that her spirituality will play an important role in her practice. Much of what I have been trying to do with Essentialist Astrology is already a part of Jyotish.

In addition to learning Jyotish, I am also undergoing a number of personal changes that require a great deal of time and attention.

So, for the time being, I will be taking a break from writing and from my monthly transit articles. I do not know how long this hiatus will be.

Even though I am taking a break from writing, I will still be available for services in Western Astrology for the foreseeable future. You can see what services are available here.

Thank you so much for your readership and support!
